Date Awarded: April 27, 2007
On April 27, 2007, at the 27th annual Metropolitan Area Hunger Conference, William Minor was presented with the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Keeping the Dream Alive Award for the integral role he has played in helping to secure nearly $3 million of federal support for the Capital Area Food Bank. The funds are key in the development of a new facility that will enable the Capital Area Food Bank to dramatically increase its service to those in the DC area who are at risk of hunger, unfortunately, a growing number of people each year.
