On December 10, DLA Piper received the Robert F. Mullen Pro Bono Award from the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under the Law at the Annual Awards Reception in Washington DC. Robert F. Mullen was a strong advocate for pro bono work and a powerful activist for racial equality. The Award is presented to a law firm that has contributed remarkably to the Lawyers’ Committee’s work. In partnership with the Lawyers’ Committee, DLA Piper has represented individuals in FEMA appeals, launched a large-scale project to clear property titles in Mississippi, and supported Election Protection in many ways.
