Byron has formed several non-profit organizations with domestic and international operations and advised their boards and management on governance, structure and tax-exemption matters. Byron's pro bono clients have included Journalists for Human Rights, Positive Exposure, the Long Island City Cultural Alliance, Interaction Arts, Teens Prepared for Life, the Phoenix Quartet, the Victorian Hands Foundation, the Russian-American Civic Association, Team Roc, Friends of Oakville Timberland Library and the Covington Domestic Violence Task Force. Byron also serves as a member of the screening committee for Washington Attorneys Assisting Community Organizations, which refers eligible charitable and community-based nonprofit organizations to volunteer attorneys for pro bono representation on organization, tax exemption and other transactional or business-related matters.
