Holiday Giving - 2006
Throughout the 2006 holiday season, as in seasons past, generosity from across the firm has made the holiday season brighter in our communities. In addition, the firm provides support to hunger relief organizations in lieu of sending printed holiday cards.

Attorneys and staff in San Francisco donated over 160 items to a coat and warm clothing drive benefiting the Bay Area Rescue Mission.

In Chicago, we decorated a “Mitten Tree” with donations of gloves, hats, scarves, and other cold-weather gear for Chicago Family Rescue. In addition, we contributed $6,575 in cash and two carloads full of toys for a local toy drive. Also, the Chicago office led the annual “Sharing It Day” Food/Fund Drive for the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

In Baltimore, we gave toys and clothing to needy children through the Salvation Army's "Angel Tree" program. Attorneys and staff in Baltimore also conducted their annual food drive for needy families in partnership with Baltimore County and Baltimore City Departments of Social Services. |
Boston
In Boston we assisted the Boston Rescue Mission by giving toiletries, blankets, mittens, and hats. We also launched an "Adopt A Family" program, through which we provided gifts to two families with a total of seven children.
DallasIn Dallas we provided gifts of toys, shoes, and clothing for 12 “adopted” children.
Los Angeles
In Los Angeles we collected gifts and raised over $1,900 for an adopted family to
move out of a shelter into an apartment of their own.
PhiladelphiaThe Philadelphia office sent food and more than $400 to Project H.O.M.E., a local shelter that provides counseling, support, housing, and rehabilitation for women with mental health conditions.
Seattle
In Seattle we raised $1,450 for Family Services of King County by putting on a silent auction at our holiday party. In addition, we donated clothing, shoes, books, and toys to homeless children.
Silicon ValleyIn Silicon Valley, we adopted a platoon and sent it 108 boxes of cards, coffee, treats, toiletries, books, magazines, CDs, and DVDs for the holidays. Attorneys and staff also collected $1,153 and filled six collection bins for the Silicon Valley Second Harvest Food Bank Drive benefiting needy families in the Bay Area.
Tampa
The Tampa office donated money for the Connected by 25 Thanksgiving dinner. Connected by 25 provides life skills training, financial assistance, and holiday events for children who have recently aged out of the foster care system.
Washington, DC
Sponsored the Children's Law Center, Bruce Monroe Elementary School, and N Street Village with donations of toys, clothing, and other special items. Attorneys and staff also donated gently used clothing, blankets, shoes, and toiletries in partnership with Gifts for the Homeless, Inc., a nonprofit corporation serving the area's homeless.
